The·Ask

— Develop and design a new mezcal brand from the ground up. Made from 100% Agave Espadin in Oaxaca, Mexico, produced by a new distillery group.

The·Answer

— A packaging design in homage to Mexican folklore and traditional mezcal making. Ceniza – meaning “ash” in Spanish – is in reference to the roasting of the agave plant, which gives the drink its distinctive smoked taste, and which inspired the bottle’s textured design.
